Announcements

  • CHRISTMAS EVE @ 5pm:  Join us for our first Kairos Christmas Eve Worship Service.  In years past we have partnered with other congregations and/or offered an abbreviated service.  This year we will gather for a full Kairos worship service by candlelight.
  • CHRISTMAS DAY SERVICE.  Kairos will hold a Sunday morning service as usual on Christmas Day.  Celebrate the birth of Christ by gathering for worship!
  • Year End Giving.  At Kairos, we believe that we are called to obedience and generosity with our financial resources.  We hope you received the letter from Kairos Treasurer, Gary McNorrill, who writes,  “We are asking each person who believes in our mission of encouraging one another daily to follow in the way of Jesus, to consider what you can give as we close out the year.  This is a time when many of us are considering ways to support various causes that are dear to our heart.   I hope and trust that Kairos will be a significant part of your generosity.”  The full letter is posted on the GIVE page of the website, along with information on the why and how of giving.
  • Central Night Shelter Opportunities. Please sign up to volunteer at the Central Night Shelter this winter. Kairos is responsible for “staffing” the shelter with 6-8 people on the following dates: Thursday January 26th, Thursday Feb 2nd, and Friday March 9th. Contact Neal Foushee for information and/or to sign up nealfoushee@gmail.com
  • Please Note: Men’s and Women’s Bible Studies will not meet the week of December 26th 2011.
  • Kairos PODCAST! Check out the sidebar on the website to get a podcast of Kairos sermons. Thanks to Sean Adorno (who is now living in Charleston!) for initiating and providing this service.
  • To stay in the loop subscribe to the Website (www.KairosAtlanta.org), join our Facebook page (Kairos Church Atlanta), and follow us on Twitter (@KairosAtlanta). And use the website to get the word out about your projects, events, and endeavors.

Thank you to Walter and Charlotte DuPre for hosting the Kairos Christmas Party.  It was a wonderful evening for all.

The Lessons and Carols worship service on Sunday was beautiful and meaningful.  A heartfelt “Thank You” to Holly Evans, who arranged music, played the piano, and conducted the vocalists and musicians again this year – and thank you to the many people who participated and worked so hard.  We are truly grateful.
